Cookie and Browser Storage Policy

What LevelWhale stores in the browser, why essential storage is required and how optional categories can be controlled.

Effective: 4 August 2026Document set: 2026-08-04
01

Cookies and similar storage

Cookies are small browser records. We also use local or session storage and comparable identifiers. They may be first-party, set for LevelWhale, or provided by an approved service loaded for a disclosed function.

We do not use browser storage to collect full card numbers or card security codes. Payment-card entry belongs on the payment provider's secure interface.

02

Strictly necessary storage

Essential storage supports secure login and session renewal, CSRF protection, guest/cart continuity, payment return state, abuse prevention, language, currency, theme and the record of your cookie choices. Preview access also uses narrowly scoped authorization state so production and demonstration traffic remain isolated.

This storage is used because it is necessary to provide or secure the service requested. Blocking it may prevent authentication, checkout, cart, security or preference functions from working.

  • Session and security records: session-bound or limited to the configured security lifetime.
  • Guest, cart and payment-return state: retained only for the relevant flow or its limited recovery period.
  • Language, currency and theme: persist until changed or browser data is cleared.
  • Consent record: persists so the site can respect the latest choice.
03

Optional categories

Analytics storage helps measure reliability, page performance and aggregated use. Advertising storage may attribute campaigns or limit repeated promotions. Optional functionality or social integrations may remember a choice when you activate them.

Where consent is required, these optional categories stay disabled until selected. Enabling one category does not automatically enable another. The services actually available depend on current production configuration.

04

Support and third-party integrations

The support widget and optional communication integrations may store a conversation or connection identifier when used. Payment providers may set their own essential security storage on the hosted payment page. Their notices apply to that independent domain.

We do not list an analytics, advertising or social provider as active merely because an adapter exists in the code. The consent manager controls only providers that are currently configured and loaded.

05

Manage or withdraw your choice

Use Cookie Preferences to accept, reject or change optional categories at any time. Withdrawal is as easy as acceptance and does not affect processing that was lawful beforehand.

Browser controls can also remove or block storage. Clearing essential records may sign you out, empty guest state or reset language and consent preferences.

06

Duration and updates

Session storage generally expires when the session or browser flow ends. Persistent preferences and consent last until their configured expiry, replacement or deletion. Security and provider storage use the shortest period reasonably required for their purpose.

We review this Policy when storage names, purposes, providers or durations materially change. A new optional purpose is not activated under an unrelated earlier consent.
